Campaign and identity
Small Ideas Festival
A one-day festival for projects that do not scale. Forty posters, one programme, and a very good enamel pin.
The context
Campus Culture wanted a festival that celebrated the small stuff: a better bus timetable, a seed library, a chair that fits the reading room. The brief arrived with six weeks and no name.
The idea
We named it Small Ideas Festival and built the identity around the asterisk: the footnote, the extra thing, the bit that does not fit the main argument. Every poster was one idea and one asterisk, printed in two passes so the pink never quite lined up.
What shipped
A wordmark, a poster series, a folded programme, signage, tote bags, and a set of pins. The festival ran for one day in the courtyard. The identity is still used for the annual open call.
What happened next
This one is off the board. The work is still in the archive, and the people who made it are still around on Tuesdays.
