Night Bus Atlas
A map for the 2am buses, made for people who missed the last train and are not in the mood for a puzzle.
The brief
The night network changed in September. The printed map did not. City Transit asked for a diagram that makes the last connections obvious at a glance, including the walks between stops that nobody tells you about.
What we need
A schematic network map, a pocket version, and a phone-sized web page that works with one bar of signal. Real departure times are out of scope. The map is the product.
What you will do
Ride the routes after dark, interview drivers, test the map with people at the bus stop, and draw the thing. You will need to be comfortable asking strangers for directions and then ignoring them.
What you leave with
A public information system with your name in the colophon, a tested prototype, and a new relationship with the city at 2am.
How to claim it
Turn up on Tuesday at 18:30, say the name, and pick a piece. Mention Night Bus Atlas in your note if you email first.
